KERRVILLE’S EQUITECH ENTERPRISES BLOOD COLLECTION CENTER AWARDED CONTRACT WITH CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL

The Kerrville EEI Blood Collection Center has been awarded a contract from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – Bacterial Diseases Branch for the collection of human serum from healthy individuals that reside in a region that is non-endemic for Lyme disease. The serum provided will be used to improve Lyme disease testing and diagnostics.

Dr. David Foster, former Science Officer for the EEI Blood Collection Center, comments on the prestigious opportunity to work with the CDC, “It is an honor to have been selected as a blood collection facility for a globally renowned research organization such as the CDC. We are excited to contribute to such an important research project on Lyme disease.”
